This course introduces students to the age-old practices of collecting plant materials in their natural habitat for food, medicine, and craft. Students will explore ethical and respectful ways of wild crafting, how to engage in 'wild' spaces, even within cities, and practices for building relationship with the environment - before, during, and after harvest. Aspects of effective growing herbs will be discussed, as well as ideal harvesting considerations, and an overview of various wild and edible plants of Canada & Northern USA.

CARMEN LYNDE CNP, CHT
Carmen has received her designation of Certified Nutritional Practitioner from the Institute of Holistic Nutrition. Carmen is a Clinical Herbalist upon completing a 5-year comprehensive biomedical program with Dominion Herbal College. As well, Carmen has training in Contemplative Psychotherapy, has completed certification courses in Endocrinology and Clinical Detoxification, and is currently studying Functional Medicine.
