In Part 2 of this Medicine Making Workshop, we dive into internal herbal medicines, offering hands-on demonstrations of how to create various concentrated plant medicines for self and families. Medicines covered include: medicinal syrups, tinctures, double-extraction methods (ideal for medicinal mushroom medicine), non-alcoholic extracts, medicinal vinegars and medicated wines. The beneficial therapeutics and applications will be covered for each item. All methods discussed can be made from any standard kitchen, making it easy to follow along from home! Additional content covered includes: quality considerations, understanding what goes into making potent and highly pure herbal medicines, and the therapeutic attributes of the plants used in demonstrations. Building on the foundations established in Part 1, this Medicine Making course enable students to effectively begin making their own natural, potent, effective and affordable herbal medicines for themselves and their families.

Alexis holds professional membership with the Ontario Herbalist Association (OHA) and practices in Toronto, bringing plant medicine, natural health practices, lifestyle and nutritional guidance to her clients to support them through both chronic and acute health conditions.
